With both an MSc and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of York, she has dedicated her career to developing innovative, eco-friendly alternatives to conventional chemical processes. Throughout her career, Roxana has pioneered the use of bio-based solvents—most notably Cyrene™—to replace toxic substances in diverse industrial applications. This groundbreaking approach has led to the development of safer, more sustainable formulations across sectors such as advanced filtration membranes, protective coatings, home care products, bio-active compound extraction, nanomaterial synthesis and even innovative approaches to paint removal.
